The History of Celebration Church of Humphrey

Celebration Church of Humphrey (CCH) was founded on October 2, 2016, by Pastor Jimmy Stewart after receiving God's call during a season of prayer. After hearing the simple words, "There are sheep that have no shepherd," Pastor Jimmy knew that God was commissioning him to come to Humphrey and plant this church. Since that day, God has continued to grow the church in both size and spirit.

CCH is a multicultural church committed to spreading the Gospel to a lost and broken world while helping people know they are safe, loved, and accepted here. We are also actively engaged in various outreach ministries throughout our community, sharing God's love with those who are hurting or in need.

If you are looking for a place where the entire family can come and worship, where the Gospel is preached in truth, and where you can experience a genuine sense of belonging, you've found it! We invite you to come and join us this week.

In 2019, the members of CCH unanimously voted to pursue the construction of our own church building. Shortly thereafter, property was purchased on Grand Avenue in Humphrey, right in the heart of the city!

The original plan was to obtain a bank loan to finance the building project. However, due to the pandemic, the lenders withdrew their offer. After three months of prayer, God spoke to Pastor Jimmy's heart and said, "Raise the money." He then gave Pastor Jimmy a God-inspired idea called Project 2000—the belief that if 2,000 people each gave $100, the funds needed to build would be provided.

Stepping out in faith, the church began reaching out to people for donations, and contributions literally came in from across the United States! In a truly supernatural way, every dollar needed for the project was provided. As a result, on December 11, 2022, the congregation was able to move into the new sanctuary completely debt-free!
